The premieres of quite a few films have been postponed to a later date – here are the highlights.
- The premiere of Spider-Man 3 and Doctor Strange 2 slips
- Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 were also later
The coronavirus epidemic continues to cause tremendous hardship to Hollywood, which is why news of slippage continues. We have now collected the most important of these from the last few days, as very serious productions have been involved – including some Marvel films.
The third untitled Spider-Man cinema (already for the Tom Holland series) will only hit theaters next fall, November 5, 2021, instead of the last announced July 16, 2021. But the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which was planned immediately after and also changed director, was also postponed, from November 5, 2021 to March 25, 2022. And if you’re already a Spiderman: Head to the Poker Universe! its continuation has also shifted to 7 October 2022.
The Mission: Impossible franchise, which was in its second heyday, didn’t swim after previous shooting difficulties either: the seventh and eighth parts, which are being made at the same time, are slipping. The former will go from July 2021 to November 19, 2021, and the latter will only hit theaters on November 4, 2022, instead of August 2022, according to the latest plans.
