Apple Watch production starts at 5 million units

The launch of Apple Watch is getting closer and closer: as confirmed by Tim Cook we will see it on our wrists starting from April, probably accompanied by a good ecosystem of applications.

A survey suggests that around 30 million of these smartwatches will be sold in the first year but, according to the Wall Street Journal, the initial production will be between five and six million units. According to estimates, about half of the Apple Watch produced would be the Sport version, i.e. the cheapest one with a price from $ 349.

The number of smartwatches produced corresponds to the figures that Apple expects to sell in the first few weeks, numbers very close to those of first iPad: will the Cupertino company be able to maintain its expectations?
