BenQ SP2 – A sports camera for active people controlled by a watch and a smartphone
BenQ has introduced its newest sports camera for recording even in the most extreme conditions – the BenQ SP2, to the Polish market. A patented, waterproof housing that meets IPX8 standards, an OLED screen located at the top of the camera showing parameters and options, and a watch that allows convenient viewing during recording and remote control of the camera make capturing the most interesting and breathtaking moments, not only of sports life, extremely simple.
Watch for viewing? Live? and camera control
What distinguishes BenQ SP2 from similar solutions is the watch-remote control for camera remote control and live view? filmed or photographed scene. This solution is very convenient, because it not only simplifies starting and stopping filming, but also allows you to see what the camera is actually seeing and filming, e.g. on a helmet.
Full HD, Slow Motion, time-lapse photos
The user can choose the quality in which the video is recorded. The highest possible quality is Full HD (1920 × 1080) resolution at 60 frames per second (fps). It is also possible to obtain a movie in slow motion thanks to the possibility of recording at a speed of 120 or even 240 frames per second. The time-lapse function allows you to automatically take a series of photos with an interval of 1/3/5/10/30/60 seconds and combine them into one video sequence.
Regardless of the selected filming resolution, BenQ SP2 Action Cam automatically records each shot in a low resolution of 432 × 240 pix, so that, immediately after shooting, you can put the finished movie on YT or FB – the file with such a movie is approximately 30 times smaller than the Full HD file. – it is sent much faster, e.g. from a smartphone while on vacation.
Preview and control smartphoneem
Thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi and a special application, the camera wirelessly communicates with a smartphone or tablet. Using a spartphone or tablet, you can remotely control the camera – start and stop recording, preview what is being recorded, and view and change all settings. On the screen of the mobile device, you can also view videos and photos stored on the camera card and delete them, freeing up space for new recordings. From a tablet or smartphone, you can upload videos directly to social networking sites – this is where the aforementioned automatic recording in lower resolution comes in handy.
Simultaneous filming and photography
During filming, the most interesting moments can be captured by the user in a photo with a maximum resolution of 16 Mpix. Taking a photo is very simple – just press the button on the watch or on the waterproof housing of the camera.
IPX8, 60m, OLED screen and 2260mAh and accessories
The patented, waterproof, transparent casing of the camera meets the IPX8 standards and allows for safe filming at a depth of up to 60 m. A very clear, automatically illuminated OLED screen is located – very conveniently for the user – on the top of the camera. It is used to set the parameters of filming and photographing and allows – with one glance, without turning the camera over – to check the time and resolution of the current recording and the amount of free space on the micro SD memory card.
High capacity – 2260 mAh battery ensures long filming time without recharging it.
Mounting the camera on a helmet or car cockpit allows a large set of accessories supplied with the camera and accessories that can be purchased additionally.
