Capcom closes record quarter as Resident Evil 3 sales cross another milestone

More than four-fifths of the games sold were digital in the last quarter.

In the first six months of the business year, the company had total revenue of $ 343 million, a 21 percent increase over 2019, and profit improved even more to $ 190 million.

Capcom sold 13.8 million pieces of software in the first half, of which more than four-fifths (82%) were sold digitally. The publisher didn’t have a real headline last quarter, and Resident Evil 3, released in April, has exceeded 3 million, but they can’t be really happy with that either, as 2.7 million (which was also a disappointing start after Resident Evil 2) found a host in the previous quarter.
