Capcom: No plans for PS3 demo Bionic Commando
Capcom announced yesterday that we can expect an Xbox 360 demo of Bionic Commando within the next few weeks. There was no mention of a demo for the PlayStation 3, but in a response it was announced today that there are no plans for a PS3 demo. Capcom could not yet make any announcements about a possible demo of the PC version, which will not be released until later this year.
Bionic Commando takes its inspiration from its 8-bit namesake that appeared on the NES in 1988. You play the game as the government operative named Nathan Spencer: the symbol of perfect fusion between man and machine. After distinguishing himself in a savage conflict against the Imperials, Nathan is betrayed by the people he served so faithfully.
Bionic Commando harnesses the power of the latest generation of hardware to take full advantage of the swinging mechanism that made the original title so unique. Highly trained commando Nathan Spencer can take out enemies while hanging upside down, climbing off a building and even while hovering in the air. In a more personal fight, this commando’s bionic arm can hit quite hard while Nathan can use his arm from a distance to launch cars at his enemies.
Bionic Commando will be released on May 22 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A PC version will be released a few months later.
