Capcom: We are only working on Xbox 360 version Lost Planet 2
Jun Takeuchi, producer of Lost Planet 2, has said that Capcom is currently only working on the Xbox 360 version of the game. This doesn’t mean Lost Planet 2 will be an Xbox 360 exclusive, though, as Capcom has previously confirmed that won’t be the case and a PS3 release is being considered. Rumors about a PC version of Lost Planet 2 are also circulating.
For now, Lost Planet 2 will only be released for the Xbox 360, but there is a good chance that the game will come to other platforms at a later date.
Lost Planet 2 takes place 10 years after the events of the first part and the landscape of the planet EDN III has changed a lot. The ice has started to melt, making way for tropical jungles and other new environments. The story bypasses the original hero, Wayne Holden, as this time you can play with your personal snow pirates, on a quest to get your hands on EDN III again. In this way you experience several unique storylines that together provide a dynamic story.
The strongest features of the first game are also present in Lost Planet 2, making fans feel right at home. In addition to the typical gameplay with grappling hooks and gigantic boss fights, this second part also has several new elements to gain tactical advantage with various actions. Lost Planet 2 also features the huge Akrids again, but this time with a new addition.
In addition to an in-depth single player, the intense and action-packed campaign can also be played cooperatively with 4 players, so that you can complete the missions online with your friends. The game also has extensive multiplayer. Finally, Capcom has spent a lot of time gathering community feedback to better tailor Lost Planet 2 to gamers’ needs.
Lost Planet 2 will be released for the Xbox 360 at an undisclosed date.
