Clari-Fi Harmana will revolutionize audio

Another technological barrier in the audio industry has been broken. In the laboratories of Harman, the American audio giant, a technology has been developed that allows to restore the original richness of sound to compressed sound files. Now even music from a cell phone or mp-three, sent to equipment playing with this technology, will sound live.

Clari-Fi – this is the name of an innovative technology that works with all compressed audio formats. It improves both compressed formats stored on the source device and, for example, streaming from internet radio.

Compression can remove up to 90 percent. content captured and saved during the audio recording. In different formats, these losses have different levels. Technologies that improve the quality of compressed audio files appeared on the market earlier. Their disadvantage was that they worked blindly, applying the same adjustments to all files – compressed and uncompressed. This often led to deformations and disturbances. For Harman’s new smart technology, this problem does not exist. It analyzes the audio signal in real time and adjusts the level of its interference with the file content to the amount of loss caused by compression. The correction includes, in particular, extending the high frequency band for greater clarity and detail of the sound, amplification of transients (sharpens their fading and fading, and restores the original quality) and enhancement of the vocals (improves their natural warmth by correcting the time and frequency of the vocalist’s voice). The Clari-Fi can also expand the music scene by restoring the stereo image, and restore the naturalness of the reverb to make it more authentic, gentler and more accurate. First, Clari-Fi technology will be used in the L8 and L16 models of the new JBL Authentics loudspeaker line.
