After more than six months of being cornered, Cyberpunk 2077 has finally returned to the PlayStation Store. The game, which was released in a virtually unplayable state on next-gen consoles, was initially removed from the PlayStation Store in December. Now it’s back, with a couple of caveats for prospective clients.

The team in charge of Cyberpunk 2077 at CD Projekt Red has been working hard since the game’s lousy launch to fix the myriad of issues. Those fixes have apparently paid off, with the game’s return to the PlayStation Store. However, this time, both Sony and CD Projekt Red are covering their foundations of transparency with consumers.

Sony has tagged the PlayStation Store listing for Cyberpunk 2077 with a warning to potential buyers. The warning reads: “Users continue to experience performance issues with this game. Purchase is not recommended for use on PS4 systems. For the best Cyberpunk experience on PlayStation, play on the PS4 Pro and PS5 systems. “

Additionally, CD Projekt Red has come out with its own warning about the current state of the game:

Users may continue to experience some performance issues with the PS4 edition as we continue to improve stability on all platforms. The PS4 Pro and PS5 versions of the game will provide the best PlayStation experience.

Even though there are clearly still a lot of performance issues with the game, it’s a great sign to see that it has returned to the PlayStation store.

While it is probably best to continue experiencing Cyberpunk 2077 on the PS5 or Xbox Series X | Yes, it is a huge relief to see that the company is still working hard to allow users to play the game on all platforms.
