We’ve been waiting many years for the release of Cyberpunk 2077, CDPR’s sprawling open-world RPG. Well it’s finally here, with all the beauty and value that Night City has to offer. It also comes with a great list of bugs and glitches, which we will probably have fun with before the developer fixes them in a future patch.
I mean, we expect frame rate issues or other minor glitches with any major release today, and the usual Day 1 patch. Some of the glitches appear to be driver issues as updated drivers make them go away. We scoured Twitter to find our favorite gameplay bugs and glitches, so read on for a light-hearted look at the current state of the game.
These are some of our favorite glitches in Cyberpunk 2077
From random trees to disembodied heads, it’s all here.

Trees, trees everywhere. I’m pretty sure even your cybernetic eyes aren’t supposed to see through walls at all times.
Where should I report bugs? @CDPRED_Support #Cyberpunk # cyberpunk2077
I see plants (and some other objects) through the walls… pic.twitter.com/ZycXr3W3as

And smaller trees. If you see this update your Nvidia graphics driver, that should fix it.
I knew Cyberpunk 2077 was going to have glitches, but I didn’t expect my entire game to be covered in tiny trees pic.twitter.com/YGpHYUTUTS

Or not … for a cyberpunk future where resources are scarce, surely there are a lot of trees
This is my cyberpunk experience so far. I started the game and this bug follows me all over the area. Years in development with constant delays. This game still needs a lot of work! # Cyberpunk2077 pic.twitter.com/4EkWDFFFdQ

Did CDPR build Cyberpunk 2077 on top of The Witcher 2’s faulty engine?
It seems the Witcher 2 and 3 texture bug is happening on cyberpunk too pic.twitter.com/eG8BNTiEeN

Not sure how it was supposed to work, maybe they are missing the rickshaw? Either way, it is good to have a friend to help you through difficult situations.
lol this is the funniest bug bug i have seen in Cyberpunk 2077 pic.twitter.com/HkClbY2Mse

I guess this could be a feature? Giddy Up!
I don’t care about bugs in games if they aren’t horrible. I don’t even know if this was a bug in # Cyberpunk2077. Maybe they just like horseback rides and I became critical. pic.twitter.com/myvg8ipzf5

I think maybe some character animations were inspired by Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Blink and you miss him … not cool when you have to kill and then steal from his pockets
So this is one of the bugs I found in # Cyberpunk2077… I finally killed him, but then I had to search for his body to progress in the mission, but there was no action to do it… pic.twitter.com/Mn2rLfQRS5

Okay, we’ve had enough of a laugh at CDPR for Cyberpunk 2077 already. They have a good track record of bug fixes after launch, so we’ll wait until then. I mean, does anyone remember how bad some of the Witcher 3 bugs were?
“It’s amazing how many errors there are in the review copy of Cyberpunk 2077, the Company’s new game that made the near-perfect Witcher III!”

Regardless, for any open-world RPG of this level of scope, we’d be surprised if there were no bugs at launch. Seriously, there is a point where you just need to submit the game and troubleshoot later. CDPR has a good track record of not abandoning games after launch and troubleshooting and even adding free DLC. I can’t see Cyberpunk 2077 being any different so maybe just wait for the fixes to be made if you don’t have FOMO to play it right now.
Whatever bugs there are, the world of Cyberpunk 2077 is the new benchmark for what open-world game design can aspire to. The sheer amount of things to do and see in the sprawling city of night is staggering, and I’ve only been on my first game for a few hours. We will have a review in due course, but until then, cya chooms.
