Cyberpunk 2077 – It’s sure to be a multiplayer mode
CD Project RED has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have a multiplayer mode, but not when it comes out.
- Previously, the multiplayer mode was not certain
- It sure will be now
- Sometime after the release, in the form of DLC
We’ve heard a lot and a lot about the multiplayer mode of Cyberpunk 2077, most recently, for example, that the CD Project RED team will only do it if it works well. If they don’t live up to their expectations, they won’t be forced into the game. Well, they seem to have become more confident about it ever since.
The studio has confirmed in a tweet that they are working on multiplayer, but only after the release of the game, even free DLCs and single-player content will precede multiplayer mode.
So, multiplayer will be released sometime in the months after April 16, 2020, although given the ambitions and work of the CD Project RED, it’s not out of the question that we’ll have to wait another year for it, as Cyberpunk 2077 add-ons won’t be any smaller than Witcher 3. Blood and Wine would have gone for a standalone RPG, so it took a long time to develop.
