Make sure you follow the steps listed below, after installing the Google Camera mod.

  • Open the Google Camera app> Settings> In Mod Settings
    • turn off HDR + Enhanced Auto White Balance on Pixel 2 or Pixel 3
  • Open the GCam app again> Settings> Advanced
    • Base> Config> Pixel2018 ZslR HDR +
    • Basic> set up front camera> Nexus 6P
    • Libs> Xlib 2.3
  • You can also change the saturation settings to suit your needs.

For MGC_6.1.021_Arnova_xcam_mi9_v8.apk

  1. Download Config Settings, which saves the recommended settings.
  2. Once downloaded, you can extract it using ES File Explorer in main memory.
  3. Create a new folder named GCam in the root folder, then open the GCam folder and create a Configs folder.
  4. Then, copy the configuration file (RN8SettingsYTECHB.xml) to / Internal storage / GCam / Configs / (folder).
  5. Open Google Camera and double-tap the blank black area next to the shutter button.
  6. Tap the displayed settings (with RN8SettingsYTECHB.xml), available in the popup and press the reset button.
  7. Go back to the apps menu and then open the app again.

  • Open the app> scroll down> Settings> Advanced
    • Enable HDR + Control
    • Enable RAW_JPEG control
  • Go to Settings> Change Saturation Levels
    • Rear camera highlight> 1.6
    • Rear camera shadow> 1.8
    • Front camera highlight> 1.7
    • Front camera shadow> 1.6
  • Set the exposure compensation to +0.2

Before you start capturing, make sure you enable Enhanced HDR +. You can also tinker with the saturation settings to suit your needs.

How to install GCam on Redmi Note 8 (Pro)

  1. Initially download the app from the links listed above.
  2. After downloading, go to settings then enable Unknown sources.
  3. Now install Google Camera.
  4. Once done, open the app and allow permissions if needed.
