Emmy 2016: Game of Thrones sweeps twelve awards

This morning the Emmy Awards took place, which reward the best television works of the year. Game of Thrones arrived at the event with the favorite band, as it had a total of 23 nominations. The fiction that emerged from the mind of George RR Martin has not disappointed and has been confirmed as the great winner of the gala with 12 different awards.

Although its actors have not been recognized as expected, Game of Thrones has won the statuette for Best Dramatic Series, in addition to those for best Direction and Screenplay and another nine of a technical nature. With all this, the HBO series has already become the most awarded in the history of the Emmy with a total of 38 awards in its six seasons, one above the 37 of Frasier, which until now held the record.

In another vein, Veep has won the award for Best Comedy Series, while the recognized actors in this edition have been Tatiana Maslany for Orphan Black and Rami Malek (Until Dawn) for Mr. Robot. Here is the list of the most relevant awards.
