After several beta versions, Epic today released patch 1.1 for Unreal Tournament III. The patch should provide several tweaks, including fine-tuning the weapon balance and minor tweaks to the AI. In addition, fixes are also made regarding the overview of servers, the HUD, the network, modding and the single player campaign mode.
The patch is 234MB in size and can be downloaded from WorthDownloading and Beyond Unreal.
Unreal Tournament III is a completely new Unreal Tournament, taking an even bigger leap between the original Unreal Tournament and the 2003 and 2004 versions. This new part continues the well-known Unreal Tournament concept: as a futuristic warrior you take part in many fierce battles against strong enemies. Make clever use of the most powerful sci-fi weapons and vehicles to lead yourself to victory. Thanks to the strong Unreal Engine 3, Unreal Tournament III is graphically solid and there is also plenty of fast action online. Add to that the fact that you also get an extensive Unreal Engine 3 toolset to create your own levels, game types or mods and it is clear that UT 3 is a first person shooter at its best!
