Extinction Tests – Not a Shadow of the Colossus

Extinction Tests – Not a Shadow of the Colossus

The game was partly meant to bring the Shadow of the Colossus experience to PCs as well, but it failed to fully accomplish that.

The Iron Galaxy is a pretty diligent team, working on ports (Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy PC, Skyrim Switch) and working on their own games – the former with more success.

Led by ex-Sony head Adam Boyes, the new creation is Extinction, in which a fighter fights huge monsters using various combos. It’s not the keystroke that matters, it’s the tactics.

The first tests came out today, but they don’t promise much good. The Metacritic average is 53 points after 8 tests, and the average is 56 after 23 on Opencritic. the larger ones were evaluated as follows:

Destructoid – 6/10
Gamespot – 4/10
PlayStation Lifestyle – 6/10
PlayStation Universe – 4/10
Push Square – 6/10
The Sixth Axis – 5/10

So this isn’t going to be the game of the year, we can flip through.

According to the history of Extinction, ravenii is the name of an army of 45-meter-high monsters that threaten humanity, and we as one of the last sentinels in the world are able to fight the Ravenii horde, plus we can fight in a rich, varied environment in a dynamic, ability-based using a combat system with the bloodthirsty giants.
