The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are slipping, but luckily we will still be able to enjoy the adventures on the new consoles as early as this year.

We are on the verge of a generational change, so we also know of several incoming games that will appear on PCs currently used on consoles, but will later be available on new machines with slightly nicer looks and better performance. It was no secret yet that a turbocharged version would be available for Marvel’s Avengers, which debuted in the early fall, but unfortunately the developers had some bad news about it recently.

Crystal Dynamics has decided to reload the release of the next-generation version of the game by 2021, so as of now, unfortunately, we can no longer spin the latest version on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S this year. But that doesn’t mean we’ll have to be completely without superheroes on the new consoles, because thanks to backward compatibility, we’ll be able to run the current-generation version on them in principle without a hitch, and we can even expect performance improvements.

Along with the postponement of the new versions, Kate Bishop’s arrival scheduled for October has also been removed from the agenda, but in theory there is a chance she will say goodbye later this year. In his post with the latest info, by the way, the head of the studio, Scot Amos, admitted that the launch of Marvel’s Avengers was not smooth and there were some mistakes that could frustrate the players ’entertainment. According to Amos, they don’t even match the values of Crystal Dynamics, so he and his team apologized to the fans.

Anyway, the guys will continue to hone the game as well as introduce new features, and have already reported some incoming innovations, including a ping system. And from October 22nd to November 5th, it will definitely be worth entering the game, as during this period we can pocket a pack of all sorts of useful little things (including a nameplate) completely free of charge. The developers would like to express their gratitude for the support of the fans with this little gift.
