Fossil Sport: First “affordable” smartwatch with the new Qualcomm SoC presented

the Fossil Group has presented a new smartwatch that is named “Fossil sport”Hears. This also clarifies which customers the new smartwatch is aimed at. This is then also reflected in the price, which in my opinion is a fair 279 euros. And what is offered for it?

Well, Fossil finally has the latest Smartwatch SoC from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon Wear 3100. Fossil does not offer the first Smartwatch with the latest SoC, but the first affordable watch. As a reminder: The first smartwatch with the Snapdragon Wear 3100 is the Montblanc Summit 2 – with a price tag from just under 1000 euros.

The Fossil Sport is available in 41 mm and 43 mm cases – 41 mm for women and 43 mm for men. The smart watch is available in six different colors with a variety of straps. The watch has a touchscreen display, various sensors such as GPS, NFC, heart rate monitor and is waterproof up to 5 ATM – which is definitely an advantage for athletes.

According to Fossil, the battery lasts up to one day when using the touchscreen. If the energy-saving mode is used with limited functions, the clock should last up to three days. So no groundbreaking runtimes.

The Fossil Sport is now listed in the official Fossil Store. Unfortunately, you cannot order from Switzerland. However, the local retailers are likely to add the new smartwatch to their range soon.
