Harmonix Will Make Rock Band Prices Affordable

Shortly after the announcement of Harmonix’s Rock Band, the prices of all kinds of accessories from large retail chains such as GameStop popped up. Amounts like 300 dollars for a full set of instruments flew over our heads, but luckily these sky-high prices were quickly denied by the developer. Harmonix art director Ryan Lesser reassures us with the following statement:

“There’s no way we’re going to make a game that people are not going to be happy about buying. We scrutinise every little piece that goes into every peripheral to make sure that it’s affordable and still really high quality. think when it’s just rumor and no one has anything tangible to hold on to, people can be afraid – but the fact is we’re very conscious of it, and we’re doing our best to make it awesome and affordable.”

Lesser also said his job is not to disclose prices, saying that Harmonix is ​​a long way from announcing the amounts soon, for various reasons they can’t talk about. What Lesser himself understands by ‘affordable’ is of course still the big question.
