As you can see in the tweet above, Nokia Mobile has confirmed the presence of a tablet in the launch lineup, presumably will have mobile network connectivity judging by the teaser “Everything you would expect from a Nokia phone in a Tablet”. The Nokia tablet is believed to be called Nokia T20 with a 10.36-inch screen, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, as well as support for 4G networks. As for the price, it should launch for around $280.
In addition to the tablet, we also expect that HMD Global will announce a new series of smartphones during the event, likely in the affordable segment where Nokia seems to be focusing its efforts these days.
Nokia has partnered with HMD Global to help market and distribute Nokia-branded phones and tablets. From that year, we saw the launch of the Nokia 6 and the renewed 3310.
HMD Global was founded in December 2016. It develops and markets a range of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets under the Nokia brand. HMD was co-founded by Arto Nummela, who previously worked at Microsoft Mobile, and Merlix Ltd., a private equity firm.
In November 2017, the company announced that it had sold over 100 million Nokia-branded phones since its inception. In 2018, HMD ventured into digital health technology by launching Nokia Pulse, a smart watch that monitors heart rate.
What awaits us is, a new Nokia tablet. Stay tuned.
