How to buy a yacht in GTA Online
On GTA Online it is possible to buy a yacht to be used as a base and equipped with some features that can be useful during one’s activities within the game.
You must know, however, that it is not possible to take the helm of the yacht and navigate freely around the map of San Andreas. This boat, in fact, always remains moored offshore and cannot be moved directly, except through a special feature that changes the docking location.
You will ask yourself, then, what good is a yacht that cannot even be driven. Well, it’s easy to say: this content introduced in GTA Online allows you to have a luxurious apartment inside a yacht and to be able to use the landing ramps for helicopters present at the stern and possibly also at the bow.
In addition, several others are available boats aft, moored alongside the yacht, which can be useful to quickly reach the coast, in case you do not want to use the helicopter. In addition, there are two NPCs (non-player characters) inside: one is the captain, who allows you to move the yacht (for a fee); the other is the barman, who will prepare you ___tails whenever you want.
Considering the characteristics of the boat, you can understand that it is a large vehicle that houses several inside luxurious rooms with all the features of an apartment of this type on GTA Online. In addition, a stern is available Jacuzzi, useful for organizing parties with your playmates.
However, the purchase of this property requires a large outlay: it starts from an amount equal to 6 million dollars, until reaching also i 10 million dollars, including all the more expensive customizations that concern finishes, lights and colors.
If you don’t have that amount, you should first play the many activities on GTA Online, in order to be able to earn a lot of money. If you are not familiar with the game modes of GTA Online, then I recommend reading my guide dedicated to the subject.
If, on the other hand, you have the amount of money that I have indicated, you can proceed immediately with the purchase of the yacht. Like? I’ll explain it to you immediately. What you need to do is open it smartphone in game and select the item Internet, to start the internal browser.
At this point, go to the sections Travel and Transportation> Dock Tease and select the tab Galaxy Super Yacht, which you find as a banner in evidence in the area at the top of the page. Once this is done, press the button Create your super yacht to access the vessel configuration screen.
In the first section you have to select the model of yacht you prefer: there are three different ones and each of them differs from the other for the number of heliports, the presence of the hot tub and the number of auxiliary boats that are moored aft of the boat. same. The models, specifically, are the following.
- Orion: the most “economical” model with only one heliport, no hot tub and only two auxiliary boats, for a total cost of 6 million dollars.
- Pisces: it is a yacht model with two heliports, a whirlpool, a helicopter, two auxiliary boats and two jet skis, for a total of 7 million dollars.
- Aquarius: the most expensive model, with two heliports, a whirlpool, a helicopter, two auxiliary boats and four jet skis, for a total of 8 million dollars.
After selecting the boat you want to buy, via the drop-down menu, press the button Come on and choose if you want to keep the chrome finishes or replace them with those golden, for which you will have to spend additional $ 750,000.
Once this is done, you need to select thelighting, which is made up of 4 color bases to which you can add the neon effect. The base color included in the price is Green presidential, but you can choose any one for a fee, up to the figure of $ 600,000 additional for color Lively golden.
After this other step, it’s time to select the exterior coloring of the yacht, choosing one of the 16 styles available. The first one on the top left is free, as it is included, all the others have a price that varies from 135,000 dollars up to $ 650,000.
Finally, you have to choose the flag that will wave on the boat: you can choose one of the 46 available, including the Italian one. Then type, in the appropriate text box located at the bottom, the first name you want to assign to the boat and press on Come on, to continue.
Well: at this point you will be shown the order summary of your yacht: if everything is in order, press the button Buy now, to complete the order. The boat will then be purchased and will be immediately available. You can locate its location by opening the game map and locating theyacht icon at the coast.
How to buy a yacht in GTA 5
In Story mode from GTA 5 it is not possible to buy any yachts: only small boats are available, such as sailboats, which can only be purchased at the virtual store of the game itself.
On PC, however, using a special one mod (i.e. an unofficial modification of the game), it is possible to unlock the same yacht available for purchase on GTA Online, which I told you about in the previous chapter. However, I warn you that mods must only be used in single player mode (History) of GTA 5 and not in the online one, under penalty of ban.
Although the tools I will talk about in the next paragraphs are automatically deactivated as soon as you enter the online mode of the video game, know that it is always better that you remove them, so as not to run into any problems.
That said, the first thing you need to do to install mods on GTA 5 for PC is to download the tool ScriptHook V which you can find on the GTA5-mods.com website. After reaching this link, click on the button Download and, in the new screen to which you are directed, click on the wording Download, to fetch the zip file of the mod.
After downloading the archive in question, double-click on it and extract its contents into the main directory where GTA 5 is installed. Specifically, know that you only have to extract the files ScriptHookV.dll And dinput8.dll that allow you to run .ASI script for this video game.
Once this is done, still from the GTA5-mods.com website, download the mod Deluxe Yacht, which allows you to purchase the same yacht we saw earlier in GTA Online. Then press the button Download for two consecutive times and then extract the contents of thearchive obtained in the root directory of GTA 5, just as you did for ScriptHook V. Specifically, you will need to extract the files YachtDeluxe.asi, gtamp-unlock-all-objects.asi and the folder YachtDeluxe.
At this point, you are almost ready: you just have to start GTA 5 and enter the mode History, through the appropriate item in the main menu. After the game session starts, open the map and you will notice a new one yellow marker near the neighborhood La Puerta. Indeed, at the port Puerta Del Sol, next to one of the port buildings, there will be a marker that will allow you to purchase the yacht.
All you have to do now is place your avatar on this marker to open the configuration and purchase panel of the boat. In the screen that is shown to you, you can see the preview of the yacht and a box on the left through which you can select all the characteristics that it will have to have, which I told you about in the previous chapter.
When you are done, click on the entry Buy Yacht, to complete the purchase. You will then be teleported to the deck of the yacht, so that you can start exploring it and using its features.
I warn you that unlike the same yacht that you can buy on GTA Online, the NPCs are not available in this one and, by reaching the bridge, you can decide to take the commands of the boat and personally navigate to the next docking.
