Before proceeding with the operational aspects of this guide and explain yourself how to program a CAME remote control it is good that you know better what we are talking about. The remote control that you will have to code is nothing more than a pocket-sized device, of rather small size, equipped with physical controls (usually two but there are also four-button models) to operate the opening and closing mechanism. Another difference between the different CAME gate models lies in the way in which the signal is emitted. In remote controls a fixed code, when the key is pressed, the same signal is always generated. These are the most popular models on the market, easier to program but, as you can easily imagine, also the least secure. In the models rolling-code the signal generated between the receiving control unit and the remote control is different at each transmission and is recognized by the control unit only through a particular automatic synchronization system. This security measure prevents any cloning attempts but clearly will also create more difficulties in the programming phase.
Finally, the models dip-switch: the latter are remote controls with internal levers arranged in a sequence of 10 or 12. Each lever can assume two positions (ON and OFF), the combination of which creates a code which must then be reproduced, in the same way, in the control unit receiving. Remote controls of this type from different brands are not compatible, despite having the same frequency, because each manufacturer assigns different values to the ON and OFF positions.
How to code CAME remote control
After identifying the type and model of your CAME remote control to be coded, make sure it is functional and with sufficient battery charge. In order to copy the remote control it is essential that the original is working, so don’t wait for this to break otherwise it will be impossible to duplicate it. You can check the battery status by pressing the remote control opening button within the range of action of the gate control unit: if charged, the gate will open correctly. How to code the CAME Top remote control at 433.92 MHz
Using a model identical to the original as a remote control receiver is always the best solution as it guarantees total compatibility and greater reliability. Furthermore, you will not have to waste time to verify the type and frequency of the original and you will be protected from any, albeit rare, risks of incompatibility.
As I have already told you, the most popular models of electric gate remote controls are those with a fixed code and which use a signal of 433.92 MHz, such as the CAME series remote controls. Top 432. There are several, such as models Top 432sa, Top 432na, Top 432ev And Top 432ee which almost entirely share the same technical data sheet but above all the procedure for duplicate the gate remote control.
These models are very similar and compatible with each other. If you have already purchased the remote control on which to clone, we can proceed with the explanation of the procedure. If, on the other hand, you are reading this guide for informational purposes and you do not yet have the second transmitter, I leave you below the most recent version of the remote controls I am talking about, available on Amazon.
Note: Model Top 432ee it comes from the factory with a different coding Tam (belonging to a series of models ideal for use in condominiums due to the largest possible configurations), not compatible to be programmed with the first previous versions. To make it compatible, it must be transformed from Tam encoding to Top encoding. To do this, press both buttons until the blue LED light starts blinking fast. Release the left button without releasing the right, to be held down for another 5 seconds. Now this model can also be used to code a 433.92 MHz CAME Top remote control.
Here we are, you can now program the receiving remote control by setting it in learning modeafter placing it next to your original remote to duplicate (a 1 cm away or less). To do this, on a 433.92 MHz Top remote control, you must hold both buttons down for 5 seconds until the LED starts flashing. blink repeatedly. Then press the button you want to encodethe LED will now change to steady on. Finally, just press the button on the original remote control for a couple of seconds, in order to transmit the signal to the receiving remote control. Done! How to code other CAME remote controls
On the market there are many CAME remote controls – Of course, those of the series Top are the most popular, but you may have a different model. In this case there are some small differences. For example the remote controls of the series Top at 868.35 MHz use a different transmission frequency. Fortunately, the coding procedure is the same as the one I just showed you.
The remote controls of the series Twin instead they feature an innovative protection system to protect the remote control code from unauthorized duplication. You can choose whether to set a password code (key code), associated with the code already entered in the receiving control unit, or whether to use it directly in a mode compatible with the Top and Tam 433.92 MHz series. In any case, the procedure to carry out to duplicate the remote control is the same as that seen above.
The remote controls of the series Atom D they are bi-frequency models, that is, they can be used for 433.92 MHz and 868.35 MHz signals. rolling-code therefore for the duplication procedure you will need to access the control unit.
How to code universal remote control
On the market it is also possible to find “substitute” products, ie the so-called universal remote controls. You can program the universal remote control, reproducing more or less faithfully the functions of a branded remote control, in this case CAME. To do this, you must first choose a remote control that operates on the same transmission frequency. Below I recommend someone compatible with most of the CAME remote controls on the market.

How to code the CAME remote control from the control unit
Alas, your original CAME remote control is now inoperable or lost. How can I unlock the gate again and return to normal use? You clearly have to code a new remote control. First get a new remote control identical to the original or universal type.
Don’t worry, there is still some way to fix it without requiring the installer’s assistance. However, I warn you that you will need a minimum of manual skills and familiarity with the wiring diagrams. The procedure for the CAME control units is almost always the same, in this case I will explain how to do it if you are using a control unit RE432 with antenna Top A433Nand therefore the radio controls are Top 432.
Press the memory button OUT1 on the control unit until the LED signal flashes, then press the button on the remote control you want to memorize, the LED will remain steady for a few moments. You can repeat the same procedure for the second channel OUT2 associating it with another key of the transmitter. Always remember to consult the installation manual of your control unit. You can do it directly on the CAME official website.
Please note: perform this procedure only if the gate is your property. If you live in a condominium contact the administrator in advance as, with this procedure, by programming the remote control on the receiving control unit, you could change the signal emitted by the control unit by overwriting the previous one. If so, from this moment on you will be alone and only you who will be able to open the gate, as some CAME control units update themselves every time you send them a code with a new remote control. Your neighbors will then have to code their remote control.
