No problem: in reality it’s all very simple, just connect your Instagram and Facebook accounts (which are both parts of the universe Half) so that they can interact with each other. How do you say? How to connect Messenger to Instagram
Facebook has incorporated numerous social networks over the years and these, while maintaining their own name and autonomy, have become part of the ecosystem that is now known by the name Half. Connecting all your accounts has advantages, it allows users to immediately share stories, images and messages from one social network to another, by contacting their Messenger friends on Instagram and vice versa. Do you want to find out how? No problem! In the following chapters I’ll walk you through the procedure for connect Messenger and Instagram.
How to connect Messenger to Instagram: Android
Connect Messenger to Instagram on Android it is extremely simple. Before proceeding, however, make sure you have installed both applications on your device (by downloading Messenger and Instagram from the Google Play Store or from alternative stores) and that you are already logged in with your personal account.
At this point, open Messenger and touch yours avatar at the top left to enter the advanced menu. Scroll through the options until you find the entry Account settings and tap on it to access it. If you use the Facebookyou can find the same menu by tapping on the three horizontal dashes you see at the top right. This will open the advanced menu, from which you have to tap thegear iconalways at the top right, to access the Settings.
In the Account settings (same for both Messenger and Facebook) You will have to scroll down the list until you find the item Half (the name of the company to which Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp etc. belong) and, under this, the wording Account Management Center. Tap to access it and, in the following screen, choose the item Configure the Account Management Center.
If on your smartphone you have not yet logged into Instagram with your account, you will find yourself in a page that requires you to log into Instagram: at this point, enter your data (username / email And password), then tapping on Log in.
If the information is correct, the next screen will ask if you want to save the login information, if the smartphone belongs to you, choose Save the informationif it is a shared device I suggest you choose instead Not now. Before completing the procedure you will need to confirm your account selection, then tap on Confirm account in the following screen.
The application will bring you back to the Account Management Centerwhere you will see your connected accounts, tap the button that says Keep it going down and then up Yes, complete the setup. Congratulations! You just connected your Messenger account to Instagram.
Alternatively, you can proceed from Instagram app going into your profilethen on the menu ☰> Settings> Account Management Center. You can then connect your Facebook account and adjust the settings related to Sharing stories and posts, shopping And login with accounts.
To activate the exchange of messages from Instagram to Messenger (and vice versa) you may have to access the Direct of Instagram and press on the item to perform theupdate messages.
How to connect Messenger to Instagram: iPhone
If you have iPhonethe procedure for connecting Messenger to Instagram it is not unlike that for Android and, even in this case, it is advisable to already have the applications in question downloaded to the device.
By opening Messenger you will find yourself in front of the menu Chat, with the list of your contacts. Tap yours avatar that you find at the top left of this screen, then scroll through the items until you find, below Account and Support, Account settings. Then tap on the latter to access the advanced menu.
The settings are divided into various sections, you find those of the account, those on security and privacy, however in this case you have to find the tab with the new logo and the words Half. Under this you will find the entry Account Management Centertap it to start the Instagram connection procedure.
Select now Configure the Account Management Center and then, on the warning screen choose Keep it going: you will be redirected to the Instagram link page, where you will need to enter yours username And password. Enter the information and tap Log inif you want this data to be remembered on the smartphone in use, then choose whether save the information or less.
Finally, confirm the selection by touching Confirm account and then Keep it going And Yes, complete the setup. This way you will have connected Messenger to Instagram on your iPhone.
Again you can proceed from Instagram app going into your profilethen in the menu ☰> Settings> Account Management Center. From the same menu you can also adjust the settings related to Sharing stories and posts, shopping And login with accounts.

How to connect Messenger to Instagram: PC
If you want to carry out the procedure directly from your own computeryou can follow the instructions I gave you previously since the operation is practically the same, however instead of opening the Messenger app you will need to connect to the official Facebook site, logging in with your account.
Once logged in, from the main Facebook page click on arrow pointing down at the top right and click on the items Settings and Privacy> Settings.
Scroll down the page you just opened, until you find the wording Account Management Center (the latter is easily identifiable as it is highlighted in blue). Then click on it to be taken to the social networking menu.
You choose Accounts and profiles and then Add account to be redirected to the web page for logging into Instagram. Enter the required data (generally username And password) and then click on Log in and, twice select Keep it going. To the information on the Account Management Center click on Yes, complete the setup and the linking of your accounts will be complete.
To proceed from Instagram sitelinked to this section, log in (if necessary) and click on the item Account Management Centerat the bottom of the left sidebar.
How to disconnect Instagram from Facebook
Have you connected all your accounts but, ultimately, have you opted for a “watertight” social media management? Don’t worry, you can disconnect Instagram from Facebook at any time you want.
All you have to do is open theFacebook app on your smartphone or tablet and select the three horizontal dashes at the top right, then touching thegear icon to access the Settings. Scroll through the list by locating the option Account Management Center and select it to access it.
Now you need to get in Accounts and profiles: you will find a list with all your connected accounts. Then select the one you are interested in (in this case Instagram) and then, on the next page, tap on Remove from Account Center.
Before continuing, you will see a warning informing you of the loss of access to the linked functions (therefore you will not be able to share login information between this account and those in the Account Center, you will not be able to share stories and posts between accounts or even find the friends and send them messages). If you want to proceed, all you have to do is tap the button that says Keep it going and then, on the next page, tap Remove.
To proceed from PCgo back to the Accounts and settings profiles menu, select yours Instagram account and click on the item Remove from Account Center.
