Now, scroll down the screen that is proposed to you and tap on the item home page within the section Advanced. Therefore, if the Home page button at the top of the next screen is in status OFF, tap it to set it to ON: you will be able to manually set a start page, which will be opened automatically every time the app is started.
At this point, simply select the mode you prefer in the section below by choosing from the options Chrome start page, which autonomously loads the Google search engine, or the one below, in which the wording is present Enter the custom web address. In the latter case you will have to type the URL of the site you want to use as a starting page.
After doing this, press the twice arrow located at the top left, then touch the symbol of home which has now been added to the top left of the browser bar and that’s it: starting from this moment, when you start Chrome or when you open a new tab, you will no longer see the about blank page.
Firefox
If you are looking for a way to remove the about blank page from the Firefox browser of your phone, the best solution is clear the cache Internet browsing, proceeding as follows.
First, if you use Android, access the configuration screen of Firefox by pressing on the i symbol three dots located by default, at the bottom right, then press the last item Settings. On the next screen, touch the item Delete browsing data, present within the section Privacy and security.
Next, make sure that there are items among the options selected Open tabs, Browsing history and website data, then presses the voice again Delete browsing data and confirm the operation by pressing on the wording Delete.
If you use a iPhone, the function just described can be accessed by pressing the ☰ icon always located at the bottom right, then pressing the item Data management.
After doing this, you will be returned to the Settings: press, now, the symbol of arrow located at the top left to return to the main browser screen, where you will notice that the about blank page will no longer be present. In its place, in fact, you will find the default search engine with which you can go back to browsing as you always have.
Edge
Would you remove the about blank page on Edge, but you don’t know where to start? Don’t worry: even for this browser, in fact, the procedure to follow is particularly simple and intuitive.
To begin with, once the app is launched on your device Android, press the symbol of three dots, then presses on the symbol Home, in order to load the default start page set on the browser. If this first operation does not produce the desired effects, presumably there is a problem in the reachability of the site you tried to load previously, or in the browser settings.
In that case, I recommend that you do this: press the i symbol again three dots, then tap the icon Settings. Now, press the voice General, locate the section On startup and select the option Open a new tab: this preference allows you to view a new tab each time the browser is started, without continuing to browse previously.

In this case, therefore, you can only act by reloading the home page set by default, and eventually deleting the cache: the operation can be performed by tapping on the three dots, following the path Settings> Privacy and security> Clear browsing data and pressing the button Cancel now present therein.
Safari
If you have the need for remove about blank from the Safari browser in your iPhone, you can proceed in several ways. The page in question was most likely generated due to the inability to load a particular site, so it should be enough go to a different page of your choice by typing the relative URL in the address bar located at the top.
If the problem persists, it is possible that the anomaly depends on the Wi-Fi network you are connected to: in this case I suggest you disconnect from it and try to access the cellular data network or a different Wi-Fi network and try again. again to browse Safari.
Restarting your device may also help you resolve the issue. Ultimately, I suggest you try clear the browser cache pressing the icon of Settings on the home screen of your iPhone, then selecting the item Safari and pressing functionality Clear data and history: just confirm the intention with a further tap on the item Clear data and history to complete the operation.
