Preliminary information
If you are wondering what it is GTA RP, I’ll explain it to you immediately. It’s about a unofficial mod for GTA V Online which allows you to access private servers (as well as create them), to play together with other players.
It would seem nothing different than the official multiplayer version of GTA V. In reality, through the use of different scripts, it is possible to implement new gaming experiences, in order to make them more Role Play. In other words, it’s about server where you role play, that is, they take on the role of a character and play a role for the duration of the game session.
So far everything should be clear to you. Give it interesting and intriguing aspects of this unofficial version of GTA V, though. let’s move on to the negative ones. According to Rockstar Games, the company that develops and distributes this video game, those who have developed software to create unauthorized servers or who host them, risk legal action.
This may therefore not concern you, as you just want to log into the servers and play them. Again, according to Rockstar Games, players using unauthorized servers could risk the ban from the company’s services.
Although, however, the mod that I will tell you about in the next chapters, FiveM, based on what is stated by the developers themselves, it does not modify the game files in any way or interact with the online services of GTA V, take into consideration what is indicated in the previous paragraphs. Therefore, I accept no liability in the event that Rockstar Games temporarily or permanently suspends your game account.
How to download GTA RP on PC
If you want to know how to download gta rp on pc, in the next chapters I will show you all the procedures you need to succeed in this intent. But know that if you want download GTA RP on PS4 or Xbox One, I warn you right now that it will not be possible, because it is a mod available only on Windows PC.
Download GTA V
The first step you need to take to download GTA RP is to purchase and install a copy of GTA V. The mod FiveM, which I’ll tell you about in the next chapter, requires a copy of GTA V purchased from Steam, from Rockstar Games or from Epic Games.
Having purchased a copy of GTA V is an essential requirement: if FiveM fails to check your game license, you will not be allowed to use this mod to play GTA RP servers.
Therefore, in case you don’t have GTA V, you can buy it from the virtual stores at an affordable price, since it’s been a long time since its first release date on PC. Specifically, I refer you to some of the online stores where to buy GTA V.

After purchasing this video game, you need to download and install it on your PC. In all three of the aforementioned stores, you have a client available through which you can automatically download and install the video games purchased.

Download FiveM
Now that you’ve successfully installed GTA V on your PC, it’s time to see how to proceed with the download FiveM, one of the most popular mods to access GTA RP servers. Obviously there are also other mods used for this purpose, but in today’s guide I will tell you about FiveM as the most widespread and, above all, the one where you can find most of the Italian servers.
First, go to the official website of this mod and hit the button Client download that you find at the top right. Once this is done, you will be shown the terms of service: press the button Sure, I agree, in order to get the file FiveM.exe.
I remind you that the requirements to use the FiveM mod are as follows.

After obtaining the .exe file, double click on it and wait for some add-ons to download. In the box that will be shown to you, click on the button Yup, to allow the download of some updated client files.
Now, wait for FiveM to do all the automatic operations provided, such as identifying the folder where GTA V is installed and verifying the license, in order to finalize the installation process. FiveM will therefore be installed inside the% localappdata% FiveM folder.
In case you have installation problems, be aware that some antivirus, such as AVG or Avast, may interfere with this process. Therefore, exclude the FiveM installation file, temporarily disable the antivirus (procedure not recommended, however) or use another one of those I suggested in this tutorial of mine.
Configure FiveM
After installing successfully FiveM, it’s time to see how to set it up. Actually it doesn’t require who knows what configuration procedure, but in this phase I will help you to set some parameters of the FiveM client.
First, know that several GTA RP servers require Steam running, regardless of whether you bought GTA V on other platforms. It’s not a FiveM requirement, but sadly it is for some game servers. Therefore, make sure you have Steam installed on your PC and that it is running.
When you start FiveM you can see a screen for creating or logging into your account Cfx.re (the service of FiveM). You can decide to register one by following the instructions on the screen and then pressing the button Authorize, to complete the login procedure on FiveM.
Once this is done, press ongear icon at the top right to access the FiveM configuration. In the section Interface, set on the item Language the parameter Italian (it) to make FiveM in Italian. Now, in the section Connection, in the field Player name, set your own nickname: since this is an RP server, come up with a suitable one that reflects this style of play.
Then finally press on FiveM logo at the top left to return to the main screen. Using the key Plays, then access the server list and access the one you prefer!
