The problem, however, is that you have no idea how to proceed in this regard and, for this reason, you are looking for precise indications on how to download GTA San Andreas. GTA San Andreas is a famous chapter in the GTA series, made by Rockstar Games. Although it originally came out in 2004, it still turns out to be one of the most sought after and loved titles by fans of the saga, and beyond. It is available for the most popular consoles (PlayStation And Xbox), for the Windows PC and for smartphones and tablets (both Android that iOS / iPadOS).
As you surely already know, GTA San Andreas is a paid game: this means that to be able to download and play it on one of the platforms I mentioned in the previous lines you will need to purchase it first. Its cost varies according to the platform on which you want to install it.
- PC (Rockstar Games Launcher) – € 14.99.
- PC (Steam) – 9.99 euros.
- PlayStation 3/4 – € 14.99.
- Xbox 360 / Xbox One – € 14.99.
- Android – 7.99 euros.
- iOS / iPadOS – 7.99 euros.
On some occasions, however, you may be able to get a discounted or even free copy of GTA San Andreas, thanks to temporary promotions. For example, Rockstar Games gave a copy of GTA San Andreas to everyone who downloaded the new Rockstar Games Launcher, the video game management platform of this development company.
My advice is also to keep an eye on the Epic Games platform on PC, which it offered GTA V (the most recent chapter of the GTA series) for free for a limited time. This could perhaps also happen for other titles of the GTA saga, so I invite you to consult this store from time to time, which periodically offers games for free.
How to download GTA San Andreas on PC
If you want download GTA San Andreas on PC, you can proceed via the Rockstar Games Launcher or through Steam. To find out more, all you have to do is keep reading the chapters that will follow.
Rockstar Games Launcher
To download GTA San Andreas from Rockstar Games Launcher, you must first create an account Social Club free. To do this, you can act directly from the launcher but, for convenience, you can perform this procedure directly from the official website. You can find all the information about it in this guide of mine.
When you have created a Social Club account, you can download the Rockstar Games Launcher. Then reach the appropriate section of the Rockstar Games website via this link and press the button Download for Windows that you find in the center of the page, to download the client installation file.
After downloading the .exe file, double click on it and press the key Yup, in the screen that is shown to you. Next, choose your language (Italian) and press the button Continues four consecutive times to complete the client installation.
Now, start the Rockstar Games Launcher, via its icon on the desktop or in Start menu, and press the button Yup, in the on-screen notice. Wait for the download of the necessary files to complete, to then reach the login screen, where you will have to enter the data of your Social Club account.
Once logged in, you can purchase and download GTA San Andreas. Then reach the section Shop, which you find at the top, press on the item All titles and select the option Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Once this is done, press the button Buy, enter your billing information and select one of the payment methods in your possession, among those listed (credit card, PayPal or PaySafe Card). Finally, put a check mark on the box below and press the button Confirm purchase.
Well: Now that you’ve purchased GTA San Andreas, head to the tab Games, at the top, and click on the item related to the game you just purchased, in the side menu (in the section My collection). Then press the button Install and confirm the destination path using the button Install, to begin the automatic download and installation of GTA San Andreas.
Steam
You want to buy GTA San Andreas on Steam, Valve’s popular digital game distribution platform? In this case, the procedure is as simple as the one I showed you in the previous chapter on the Rockstar Games Launcher. First, however, you need to create a free account on Steam via the official website of this store. If you encounter any difficulties, you can consult my guide dedicated to the subject.
Once you’ve created your free Steam account, it’s time to download the client to your PC. To do this, go to the official Steam website and press the button Install Steam, in order to pick up the .exe file of the program. Then double-click on it, and press on Yup, in the on-screen notice.
Now, in the installation screen, press the button Come on, choose theItalian as the interface language and click on first Come on and then on Install, to run the client installation. Once this is done, start Steam via its icon on the desktop or in Start menu and log in with the previously created account by pressing the key Log into an existing account.
After logging into the Steam client, go to the tab Shop, at the top, and use the search bar (always at the top) to type in the terms “Grand theft auto san andreas”, so as to reach the video game card. After selecting the corresponding search result, scroll the screen and press the button Add to Cart, and then click Purchase for me. Then choose one of the supported payment methods (credit card, PayPal, PaySafe Card or Skrill) and press the button Continues, to finalize the purchase.
After the purchase is complete, if you are not offered the installation screen, click on the tab BookshelfAt the top, locate GTA San Andreas from the sidebar and press the button Install. Then confirm the installation path and click on Come on, to start downloading the necessary files.
How to download GTA San Andreas on console
GTA San Andreas is a game that was originally released on PlayStation 2 And Xbox, and then land in subsequent versions of these game consoles, such as PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 And Xbox One.
If you want download GTA San Andreas on PlayStation 4, what you need to do is purchase a digital copy of the title from PlayStation Store. You can proceed from the Web by logging in with your PSN account, which I told you about in this guide, or from the store on the console.
In the latter case, after launching the appropriate application from the PS4 home screen, click on the tab Games and use the search box in the section All the games, to search Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. At this point, add the product to the cart and enter (or select) the payment method to complete the operation. Also on Xbox One you can proceed in a similar way to what I showed you in the previous lines for PlayStation 4. If you have an Xbox Live account, you can purchase GTA San Andreas from the Microsoft Store from the official website or through the integrated store application on the console.
In the latter case, after starting the Microsoft Store, tap on the tab Store and then on Search for games. Use the box provided to search Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and press the button Buy, to add your preferred payment method and complete the transaction. How to download GTA San Andreas on smartphones and tablets
Do you want download GTA San Andreas on your smartphone or tablet Android or on iPhone And iPad? In this case, know that you can play this video game from the GTA series also on your mobile devices, by purchasing a copy directly from the reference virtual store of the operating system installed on the device.
In case you have a smartphone or tablet Android, you must first create a Google account and associate it with the device. In this case, you can also perform this operation directly from the Play Store, through the appropriate screen that is shown to you at startup.
If, in general, you do not know how to carry out the association procedure, I recommend that you consult my guide dedicated to the subject, in which I also explained how to add a valid payment method for purchases.
At this point, start the Play Store and use the search bar at the top to search for the game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. After tapping on the corresponding search result, press the button indicating the price, select the payment method from the box at the bottom and confirm using the button Buy with a tap.
If you do not find the game, you can tap on this link from your device, to instantly locate it in the Play Store. Once the transaction is complete, if the download does not start, press the button Install, in the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on the Play Store, and wait for all the files necessary to complete the app installation to be downloaded.
If you own a iPhone or a iPad, the procedure is almost similar to the one I indicated in the previous lines relating to Android. Therefore, make sure that you have associated an Apple ID with your Apple device.

Finally, open the App Store and search Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas via the card Search for, down. You can also quickly reach the video game card directly via this link from your Apple device.
At this point, press the key indicating the price and, in the box that is shown to you, press the button Buy. Then confirm the download by pressing twice the side button and letting you frame the Face ID (if you have an iPhone with notch or an iPad Pro), with the Touch ID or with the password ofApple ID.
In case the automatic app download does not start, go back to the video game tab and tap the button Get and then on Install.
