While you were viewing the latest posts posted by your friends and the pages you follow on Facebook, you happened to “come across” a series of users that the social network in question suggested you to add to your contact list: among the latter, to your great surprise, you noticed your old account that you haven’t used for years and that you had completely forgotten about.
So you tried to click on it but, due to the privacy settings that you had obviously selected for the profile in question, you can barely see the photo and some information. And now? You would love to see which photos and which posts you had published on that account, but you just don’t know how to proceed, also because you have forgotten the data to access them.
Don’t despair! If that’s the case, you need to know that your Facebook account password can be reset in a handful of taps or clicks (as long as you have access to the email address or phone number associated with the latter). How to recover an old Facebook account without a password
You want to know how to recover an old Facebook account without a password? Then you are in the right chapter of this tutorial. In fact, below I will illustrate the procedure that will allow you to access your old account again by restoring the access data (provided that you have access to the e-mail address or telephone number associated with the latter).
You can proceed either fromFacebook app for Android (also available on devices without access to Google services) e iOS / iPadOS, either from a computer, through the official site of the social network or his Windows application. Find everything explained below.
From smartphones and tablets
The first step you need to take for recover an old Facebook profile whose password you no longer remember, if you want to proceed from smartphone And Tablet, is to start theFacebook app and, if you are already connected with another account, press the ☰ button and exit the current profile by pressing on the item Go out (at the bottom of the screen you see).
Then, on the app home screen, tap on the item Find your account placed at the bottom. At this point, type in the field at the top the telephone number associated with the profile you are looking for. Alternatively, if you don’t remember the latter, tap on the wording Search based on your email address you see below and type theemail address or the first name account. Next, tap onpreview of the account that belongs to you in the list of those that are proposed to you and, on the next page, select the item Try another method.
At this point, select the account recovery option you deem most appropriate: by pressing on the item Log in with Messenger, if your device has theMessenger app and the old profile has remained stored in it, you will be able to access it directly without resetting your password. Otherwise, you will need to arrange to have a verification code pressing on the appropriate items (Email the code or Send the code via SMS) and then change the password.
After choosing the option that suits you best and pressing the button Continues, then enter the verification code that you should have just received by SMS or email. In the latter case, check your folders as well Spam And Junk Mail of the e-mail box associated with the address in question and, if the code does not arrive, press on the wording Send the SMS again or Send the email again.
Then press the button again Continues and type a new one access key of your choice (please, set a secure password). At this point, tap the button once again Continues And that’s it.
From computer
You want to know how to recover an old Facebook account from computer? In this case you can use the social network site belonging to the group Half or the relative Windows application: in both cases the procedure to be carried out does not change and can be found right here below.
Once you have opened the Facebook site or application, if you are already connected to an account, press the ▼ button located at the top right and select the item Go out from the menu that is shown to you, in order to disconnect from it.
Then, click on the wording Forgot password? and, in the only field on the next screen, enter the telephone number, L’email address or the first name of your account; finally, press the button Search for. As soon as you have identified the profile that belongs to you in the list that is shown to you, click on the button It’s my account which is placed at the profile name same.
Once this is done, select the account recovery option you prefer (verification code sent via e-mail or SMS) by pressing on the appropriate items. From here on, the steps to take to proceed (except for access via Messenger which in this case is not available) are exactly the same as I listed in the previous chapter.
How to recover an old Facebook account with password
How do you say? Are you still aware of the password of the old account that you want to recover and the latter was only from you temporarily disabled (maybe you have done this by following the instructions in my tutorial on this operation)? In this case, to go back to using this Facebook profile, just log in to it. Here are all the details on how to proceed.
From smartphones and tablets
You can access the account you are interested in fromFacebook app for mobile devices. Start, therefore, the latter and, if you are already connected with another profile, tap the ☰ button and then select the item Go out found at the bottom of the next screen (in order to log out).
Now, if the account you want to access is shown in the list of available ones, simply tap on its preview And that’s it. Otherwise, tap on the item Log in to another account, enter the telephone number or theemail address associated with the profile you want to access in the upper field; in the lower one, type the relative password and finally press the button Log in. See how easy it was?
Alternatively, you can also log in by connecting to the Facebook home page from any browser and repeat the steps above.
From computer
The procedure for accessing a profile you haven’t used in a while since computer it is similar to the one I just showed you on smartphone tablets. Regardless of whether you want to use the Facebook site or his Windows application, once you have started one or the other, if you are already connected with another account, click on the ▼ button you see at the top right and then click on the item Go out present in the menu that opens.
Once this is done, simply type in the appropriate fieldsemail address or the phone of the profile you intend to connect to and, finally, the access key; then finish the procedure by clicking on the button Log in. That’s all!
