Your every search on the famous social network has not given the desired outcome but, before disturbing your colleague again and making a bad impression for your forgetfulness, you would like to try to trace the name of the group by browsing your and his profile. I guessed it, right? Then let me tell you that today is your lucky day!
In the next paragraphs, in fact, I will explain to you how to see a person’s groups on Facebook, in order to trace the groups to which a particular person is registered. First, I will provide you with the detailed procedure to view the list of Facebook groups you manage and / or to which you are subscribed (in order to recover the group name that you have now forgotten, if you have already subscribed to it). Subsequently, you will find the indications to access the section Groups of friends, which allows you to find out which groups your friends are subscribed to on Facebook.

Preliminary information
Before we get to the heart of this tutorial and explain yourself how to see a person’s groups on Facebook, it is necessary to make a necessary premise. In fact, you must know that on the famous social network it is possible to see the list of pages followed by a particular user but it is no longer allowed to view the list of groups to which it is subscribed.
That said, you will be pleased to know that there is an alternative solution that allows you to know which groups a person is enrolled in, as long as the person is among your friends. However, this procedure is not valid for a secret Facebook group: it can only be used for public groups and private groups.
How to see your groups on Facebook
If your intention is to view the Facebook groups to which you are subscribed, you will be happy to know that the procedure to follow is simple and fast. All you have to do is access the section of the social network dedicated to groups: from here, you can view both the groups you are an administrator for and the groups you have subscribed to, quickly managing their notifications and settings. Here’s everything in detail.
From smartphones and tablets
To view your groups on Facebook from smartphones and tablets, start the app of the famous social network for Android or iOS / iPadOS devices and, if you have not already done so, press the button Log in, to log into your account.
Now, if you have a device equipped with Android, tap the ☰ button and, in the new screen displayed, select the item Groups; then click on the option Show all related to the item Your groups, to view the complete list of groups you are subscribed to, divided between Groups set at the top, Groups you manage And Other groups.
If, on the other hand, you have a iPhone / iPad, tap on thelittle man located in the menu at the bottom, in order to access the section Groups, and click on the option Your groups. In the new screen that appears, you can see the complete list of all the groups you are subscribed to, divided between Set high (with the groups you have set in the foreground) e Other.
Regardless of the device in use, by pressing on the item Edit and tapping on the icon stylus, you can either add new groups to pin at the top or remove those you no longer want to be featured.
Also, by pressing on the item Settings (the icon of gear wheel, if you use an iPhone / iPad), you can access the section related to group settings and select one of the available options: Notifications to change the notification preferences of each group, choosing whether to receive a notification for each new post (All posts), only for posts published by friends and for suggested content (In evidence), exclusively for content posted by users among your friends (Friends posts) or to be notified only of any important mentions or updates from the group (Deactivate); Followed/Follow already to indicate, for each group, which contents to see in the News section e Members to quickly exit one or more groups.
From computer
If you prefer to view the list of Facebook groups you are subscribed to from computer, connected to the main page of the famous social network, enter your login details in the fields Email or phone And Password and click the button Log in, to log into your account.
Once this is done, locate the section Explore in the left sidebar and tap on the item Groups. Alternatively, click on the arrow pointing down and select the option Manage groups from the menu that appears.
In the sidebar to the left of the newly opened page, you can view the groups you are subscribed to: Groups you manage, with the groups that you have created or of which you have been appointed administrator or moderator, e Groups you belong to, with the complete list of groups to which you have subscribed.
Unlike the Facebook app, which allows you to quickly manage the settings of all your groups, from your computer you need to access each individual group (by clicking on its first name) to change its notification settings or to leave it: in this regard, my guide on how to leave a group on Facebook may be useful.
How to see friend groups on Facebook
As mentioned in the opening lines of this guide, it is not possible to see all the Facebook groups to which a single person is subscribed. However, if the user of your interest is among your friends, you can access the section Groups of friends and find out which groups your contacts are subscribed to, albeit with some limitations.
From smartphones and tablets
For see the groups of friends on Facebook from smartphones and tablets, start the social network app for Android or iOS / iPadOS devices (by tapping on the White “F” on a blue background) and, if you have not already done so, log in to your account.
Now, tap the ☰ button located in the top menu (bottom right if you use an iPhone / iPad), select the item Groups and tap the button Suggested. In the new screen that appears, locate the section Groups of friends and click on the option Show all, to view the list of groups to which your friends are subscribed and, for each group, the number of friends who are part of it.
Then press on a Facebook group, tap his first name and, in the new screen that appears, tap on the option See them all related to the item Members. Now, locate the section Friends, to see the complete list of friends who are subscribed to the group in question.
You must know, however, that the procedure I have just indicated is valid only if the group is public. If, on the other hand, the group is private, to view the list of registered members (including your friends) you must request registration with the group by pressing the button Join the group: in this regard, my guide on how to join a closed Facebook group may be useful.
From computer
The procedure for viewing the list of friends groups on Facebook from computer it is almost identical to the information I have just given you for smartphones and tablets. All you have to do is access the section Groups of friends and view the list of members enrolled in each group.
To proceed, therefore, connected to the main Facebook page and press on the option Groups, visible in the sidebar on the left, next to the item Explore. Alternatively, click on the arrow pointing down, located at the top right, and select the option Manage groups from the menu that appears.
On the newly opened page, locate the section Groups of friends and click on the entry Show all, to view the list of groups your friends are subscribed to. At this point, click oncover image of each group of your interest, click on the option Members visible in the sidebar on the left, locate the item Friends and click on the writing See all friends, to view the list of friends enrolled in the group in question.
If by accessing a group you see the box About this group and the option Private, it means that the group is closed and it is not possible to view the list of members. To succeed, click on the button Join the group, to request access to the group, and wait for your request to be accepted.
At this point, log back into the group in question, select the option Members visible in the sidebar on the left, locate the section Friends and click on the option See all friends, to find out which friends are subscribed. Easy, right?
