Huawei Mate 40 will have a transparent and futuristic design

After the P40, the next big flagship model that Huawei will unveil throughout the year is the Mate 40 series. A set of conceptual renders for the Huawei Mate 40 have surfaced online and the images show a design that looks even more futuristic than the Xiaomi Mix Alpha.

Huawei is slated to launch the P40 series in late March and model designs are almost confirmed. After the P40, the next big flagship model that Huawei will introduce throughout the year is the series kill 40. A set of conceptual renders for the Huawei Mate 40 have appeared online, and the images show a design that looks even more futuristic than the Xiaomi Mix Alpha.

The concept creator envisions a Mate 40 model with a clear glass construction, but we doubt that this design will actually be used in the near future. The Mi 8 Explorer Edition came with a transparent back panel and turned out to be very popular, even taking into account that the back panel doesn’t actually reveal the hardware’s components.

The Xperia Pureness and Lenovo S800 were two phones with a physical keyboard that had a transparent design. So a transparent design doesn’t seem like a totally nonsensical perspective.

Furthermore, the concept shows that the device will have a front-facing camera design under the screen which may also apply to rear-facing cameras.
