Is iPhone 6s Selling Less Than Expected?

Despite the record sales in the first weekend, according to the analyst John Vinh by Pac Crest Securities iPhone 6s is selling less than expected and Apple will fail to meet its targets for the end of the year.

The apple company, in fact, expected to sell 76 million iPhones by the end of this last quarter of 2015, but according to Vinh a much more plausible figure is 67 million of units.

The analyst’s forecasts are based on some feedback from Asian retail chains, according to which Apple has cut the demand for components by 15% following “unsatisfactory sales after the first week of launch”.

On the other hand, other analysts like Morgan Stanley’s Katy Huberty argue that the iPhone 6s is faring better than the previous model.

Discordant opinions on the sales of the iPhone 6s, in short, on which we will be able to shed light when Apple shares the results of this Q5 2015.
