It appears that Samsung has started detailing upcoming software updates for the Galaxy S10 in the notices section of the Samsung Members application. The company has been scheduling major Android updates for multiple devices in the Members app for a few years, as well as providing information on consumer feedback on the software in general.

Now, Samsung also details the fixes and improvements it plans to implement on the Galaxy S10 trio in future updates.

At the moment, we are only aware that this section is available for users in Germany, as reported by All about Samsung. In addition to future improvements, Samsung also mentions the fixes already made, such as battery loss caused by VoLTE calls and the proximity sensor not working correctly.

Here is a screenshot of the translated version of the German text:

It is not clear however whether this list is fully up to date, because some of the improvements listed as future updates appear to have already been made available.

At least the phrase “adapt to low-light environments” seems to be talking about the dedicated night mode added to the camera by the last update. Otherwise, it would mean that Samsung is working to further improve low-light images on its newest FlagShip, among other things.

Publicizing upcoming updates is a good initiative

Informing Galaxy S10 owners what they will receive in future updates is a good initiative, but whether it will be extended to users beyond Germany remains to be seen. We believe it will be, but it’s best not to get too hopeful until it actually happens.

Also, it is important to note that Samsung does not offer any dates when these future updates will be available; this is not surprising as we have never known the exact dates of upcoming software updates before.

Can you see the notice about Galaxy S10 updates in the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy S10e, S10 or S10 +?

You can check by opening the Samsung Members app and clicking the bell icon in the upper right corner.
