Kojima Productions will not be there at this year’s Game Developers Conference either, while Sony is being attacked by the mayor of Boston.

  • Skip the Game Developers Conference at Kojima Productions
  • There are other developments regarding the coronavirus

Today, unfortunately, news about the coronavirus has become commonplace in the video game industry as more and more events affect the epidemic. The latest such is the Game Developers Conference, whose organizers have announced some very serious precautions recently, but that hasn’t convinced Sony or Facebook Gaming either, who decided last week they won’t attend the March conference.

As expected, the story is not over yet, as they have now been joined by another team: Kojima Productions has also canceled the performance, and as a result, Kojima Hideo will not perform as planned.

And the game of the week is… Survive Mr. CUBE!

If it’s already a coronavirus and events: Sony has also canceled PAX East earlier this weekend, also citing the epidemic. Marty Walsh, the mayor of Boston, the host city, wrote a letter to the president of Sony about this, saying they set a bad example by not making decisions based on facts (Boston’s risk factor is extremely low) but driven by fear, which only strengthens people’s stereotypes.
