Limited Edition for Shadow of the Colossus
The Shadow of the Colossus has been out for a while in the United States and Japan, where it has already received great reviews. Now a European release date has finally been announced, as the game will be available in Dutch stores on February 17, for the usual price of € 59.99. Oh, and exclusively for the PlayStation 2 of course.
Today, Sony announced that Shadow of the Colossus will also be getting a Limited Edition in Europe. This comes in a deluxe cardboard version and contains, in addition to the original game, four postcards with some magical moments from the game, a video interview with Fumito Ueda and Kenji Kaido, the main developers of Shadow of the Colossus, and a bonus DVD. It features an exclusive image gallery, even more artwork, and an ICO trailer.
The beauty of this Limited Edition is that it will cost the same as the regular version. However, there is limited availability, so be quick.
In The Shadow of the Colossus, you will have to bring your girlfriend back to life as Wanda. This is only possible by defeating the sixteen giants that are in the world. With Wanda you ride on horseback to one of these giant creatures and you first complete a level that mainly consists of puzzles. Once you get to the giant you will have to find a way to kill him, which is very difficult. The creatures are very large and will not be afraid to crush you into Wandamoes. The Colossus’ weak spot is usually at the very top, and it will often take you at least half an hour to get it down. Shadow of the Colossus seems to be excelling again in new gameplay and in a breathtakingly beautiful world, just like Ico.
Shadow of the Colossus will hit stores on February 17 for PlayStation 2.
