A paradise for all railway fans. Märklin presents its railroad models on an area of over 1,000 square meters.

In the museum, historical and current models provide an insight into the company’s 150-year history. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum also offers regularly changing activities such as day events with presentations and seminars as well as larger events and special themed exhibitions.

Walkable H0 model railway

Experience the Märklin models up close and be right in the middle of it – visitors can do that in the large, digitally controlled tunnel system. Below the 3.10 meter high mountain massif, the 5.10 meter wide and 12.40 meter long system offers a passage and insights into the car tunnel and the shadow station operations. Three different double track routes lead through a lifelike model landscape.

From the glass train to the heavy timber transport, there is a lot to discover here. In addition to 200 square meters of plywood, 250 kg of gypsum were also used to build the system.

Shop and Service Point

In the adjoining shop, visitors can purchase all Märklin products, fan articles and special models, such as the coveted museum cars. If, on the other hand, you have problems with a model, you are at the right place at the Service Point. Here the visitor can buy the most common spare parts or, if necessary, submit his model for repair. It is also possible to have the functionality of the models checked. Skilled staff repairs minor damage immediately on site. The Service Point is ready for you from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tip: Every year special railroad models that are only available in the Erlebniswelt appear here.

From there, turn right twice into Holzheimer Straße, past the former Märklin Museum and straight on until you come to Reutlinger Straße. Turn right here, after a few hundred meters the adventure world is on the left.

…with public transport

By train to Göppingen train station and from the bus station opposite, take lines 1 or 6 to the Ulmer Straße / Reutlinger Straße stop. The alternative walk from the train station to the Erlebniswelt takes about 25 minutes. ”
