marvel vs. Capcom 2 this summer for XBLA and PSN
Capcom has confirmed that the team-based fighting game Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is currently being reworked for release on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. These versions should be released in the summer and a demo will also be available online soon, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
marvel vs. Capcom 2 is based on the code of the Dreamcast version, with which Capcom claims to bring the best version into the HD era. The game supports online play and multiple HD upscaling options to customize the visual settings to your liking. However, don’t expect the same HD graphics as in the Street Fighter II Turbo remake.
Furthermore, it is not necessary to unlock characters, because they are all available right from the start. Think Marvel characters like Wolverine, Cyclops, The Hulk, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Venom, while the Capcom player roster includes household names like Ken, Ryu, Chun-Li, Zangief, Mega Man and Ruby Heart.
marvel vs. Capcom 2 will be released this summer on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network for a cost of 1200 Microsoft Points or $14.99 respectively. Check out a few gameplay trailers below.
