Movea makes sales of plug-in hybrid cars skyrocket 300%

Alternatives are becoming available when it comes to automobiles powered by alternative energy. Both fully electric and hybrid models (electric motor + gasoline-powered motor) are appearing in company catalogs. Likewise, last July the Movea Plan was launched. It is an incentive for families to acquire a car of these conditions. This incentive could reach up to 5,500 euros of compensation that would accumulate with other campaigns.

This Movea Plan was criticized for its management and for how quickly the aid ran out: in just 24 hours the aid was already exhausted. And we are talking about aid for both passenger cars and motorcycles and electric vans. But this is another matter entirely. What has attracted attention is the strong impulse that this help has meant in the purchase of these vehicles. At least during this month of August, according to Europa Press.

According to data provided by the agency, during the months that we have been this year 2017, 2,091 units of pure electric cars and plug-in hybrid cars have been sold in Spain. Also, and specifying more information, during this month of August sales have skyrocketed in both sectors. On the one hand we have the pure electrics. These have achieved a sales increase of 182.9% compared to the same period in 2016. This translates into 133 units sold.

Meanwhile, in the case of plug-in hybrids, things have been even more noticeable. In August 2016, only 47 units were sold. While this August 2017 the thing has risen to 147 units. Which means that an increase of 308.9% has been noticed.

Finally, and as we can see through the Electric Mobility portal, in Spain during the months that we have been in 2017, the most popular models of these characteristics among the public are: Renault ZOE, Nissan LEAF, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and the BMW i3 .
