New features discovered in Cortana, just in time for the holidays

Two new functions have been discovered in Cortana, L’Microsoft voice assistant currently available on platforms Windows and, in beta, on Android and iOS: the ability to access certain sites simply by asking them, and the ability to receive notifications around holidays and important events.

In the first case, by calling Cortana, just ask for browse a site (at the moment only Google, Facebook, Yahoo, CNN, Wikipedia and a few others are compatible), without having to add the top-level domain extension (for example, “.org”).

In the second, by activating the “Special Days” function (Special Days) in Cortana’s diary, we will receive notifications which will include themed greetings, games, and more. The two functions are already active for the systems Windows (although probably not in Italy), and it is not clear if and when they will also arrive on Android and iOS.
