PlayStation Awards 2016: These are all the winners

The 2016 PlayStation Awards took place in Tokyo yesterday. These awards were once again distributed by Sony for a new year in Asia, and which not only seek to honor the best PlayStation title, but also focus on fan-favorite titles . Although, of course, the number of sales is very important to win one of these awards. However, the platinum award did not have any winners this year, as none of this year’s titles for Sony consoles exceeded one million units sold. On the other hand, in their Gold Award category, several titles reached 500,000 sales, both in physical and digital format, in Asia. The winners, who received a cash prize of 500,000 yen, were:

• The Last of Us Remastered

• Person 5

• Sword Art Online: Lost Song

• Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

• The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

On the other hand, the best-selling games between October 1, 2015 and September 30, 2016 were awarded the PlayStation Network Award:

• Pro Evolution Soccer 2016

• Dragon’s Dogma Online

• Phantasy Star Online 2

The ten games most voted by users managed to win the Users Choice Award:

• Bloodborne: The Old Hunters

• Dark souls iii

• Fallout 4

• Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

• Overwatch

• Call of Duty: Black Ops III

• Dragon Quest Builders

• Person 5

• Yakuza: Kiwami

• Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege

Regarding the PlayStation VR award, five titles were recognized for having contributed to this new Sony platform:

• Northern lights

• PlayStation VR Worlds

• Rez Infinite

• Summer Lesson

• Hatsune Miku VR Future Live

And finally, the indie award went to:

• Downwell

• Goat simulator

• Salt and Sanctuary

• Adventures of Scarlet Curiosity

• Rocket league
