Plex allows us to stream music from our media center through Android Auto
Both Plex and Kodi have become the main ones, and we could say only quality options if we want to set up a media center in our home and thus store movies, music, photographs … Although it is true that there are other options on the market, none of them offer us as many options as Plex and Kodi.
While for a while now Kodi seems to be in the eye of the storm for piracy, Plex continues on its way at a good pace and adding new functions each one more interesting than the last. The last function that it has added allows us to play the music stored in our media center via streaming through Android Auto.
This function is ideal if we use Plex to always have our entire music library at hand because streaming music services are not quite our thing, either because our musical tastes are special or simply because we have converted the extensive music library that we had an MP3 CD to always have it at hand. The operation of this option is the same as that offered by Pandora or Spotify without going any further, but with the difference that the music to be played is obtained from our personal library stored in a media center.
Too allows us to play the music that we have previously downloaded to our device, in case we do not want to use our data rate. Thanks to this new feature, we can control the playback of our media center directly from the multimedia interface of our vehicle to which our smartphone is connected, either via USB or wirelessly.
This feature will begin to arrive in the next few days in the form of an update. If you do not have a vehicle with this technology, you can also continue playing your favorite music from your media center through your smartphone without any problem.
