Rock in Rio announces last headliner for World Stage

The project will open a “new window” to access the broadcaster’s content

The BBC confirmed last night, 14, its download service similar to iTunes. Codenamed “Projeto Barcelona”, the novelty will make available shows recently shown by the network, as well as part of its program archive.

The BBC’s Director General said the new project will “open a new window”. The station already offers some of its content through BBC iPlayer, which is a streaming service, however, shows expire after seven days. The fact that the download is paid for has generated discussion in the UK, as to watch television, citizens are required to pay an annual fee as a form of maintenance for the state-owned BBC.
