Rockstar reveals screenshots from first Red Dead Redemption trailer

It was recently announced that we can expect a first trailer for Red Dead Redemption this week. To get you in the mood, Rockstar released some fresh screenshots from that trailer today and we expect to be able to enjoy the moving images tomorrow.

Red Dead Redemption is set in the Wild West at the turn of the 20th century, a time when the perilous, vast expanses increasingly succumb to government influence and the growth of the Industrial Age. The story revolves around the former bandit John Marston and takes us on a grand adventure across the American border. Expect an open world to explore full of villages, prairies with dangerous animals and treacherous mountain passes. During your journey you will regularly get involved in fierce firefights and fight with and against various unique characters.

Red Dead Redemption is thus an epic story about the demise of the Wild West and all the trigger-happy people in this region. The game is based on Rockstar’s powerful RAGE engine, which should provide beautiful graphics and an atmospheric world.

Red Dead Redemption will be released this fall for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
