Strike Force mod goes retail: Strike Force Red Cell announced

Strike Force, the tactical combat mod that already existed before Unreal Tournament, has been around for a long time. Developer Vision Studios thought it was high time to turn it into a commercial product.

The result of that idea, which is still under development, is Strike Force Red Cell. The game already has a website at http://www.strikeforceredcell.com/, but there isn’t much information available there at the moment. A call for publishers on the Vision Studios website is a bit clearer:

The Red Cell in the title is the name of a special team from the US Department of Defense that ‘thinks like the enemy’. In that capacity, they are better at intercepting that enemy, and then, of course, getting rid of them. This Red Cell actually exists (http://www.redcellassociates.com/) and helps make the game.

Strike Force Red Cell will have a single player and a multiplayer mode and uses the Reality Engine from Artificial Studios. 2007 should be the year of completion and the Xbox and PC the platforms on which the game should be released.
