These days, The Walking Dead is being the subject of conversation for the violence shown in its premiere chapter of the seventh season. A chapter in which we are not going to enter because you will already know by now what has happened. And if you do not know, it is because you have not seen the chapter, and that would mean incurring crude and cruel spoilers about the aforementioned episode that would undermine your morale, which we do not want. Now, would we be just as horrified if there weren’t certain weapons involved?
At Nerdist they believe that The Walking Dead’s arsenal is as significant a point of the series as its own characters, and in fact each one has their own weapon. It is fair then that said portal makes a Top 10 to these instruments of death and see which of them takes the cake. Although it is quite clear, by the way, why use a conventional weapon when you can attack with style. Again, spoiler alert. They are as follows:
10. Eugene’s hose
The Walking Dead has had some very creative ways of taking down walkers, but Eugene and his jet hose take the cake. What a way to disintegrate zombies.
9. Rick’s revolver
Few weapons are more memorable and mythical in The Walking Dead than the revolver that has accompanied Rick from the beginning of the series and the comics. The former sheriff does not part with his service weapon.
8. Carol’s knives
Although at first glance it may not seem so, the innocent Carol has little of the innocent. He has learned to survive and has done so with a varied arsenal, such as his knife with a hole to put the fingers and kill more comfortably.
7. Daryl’s crossbow
If you had to associate a character with his weapon, the first one that would probably come to mind would be Daryl with his inseparable crossbow. It serves you for everything and the best thing is that you can recover the ammunition once used.
6. Shane’s shotgun
Shane fans have long had to say goodbye to him painfully, but the charismatic characters also left us a weapon to remember: a shotgun with nothing special, but very effective against zombies.
5. Merle’s knife-arm
If you ever lose your arm in the apocalypse your best bet is Merle, Daryl’s brother. Putting a knife in their place is the best way to protect yourself against the dead of this horrendous future.
4. Michonne’s katana
Although keeping your distance is important in the fight against zombies, there are characters who prefer direct contact. This is the case of Michonne, whose katana has accompanied her from the beginning and is a distinctive sign of hers.
3. Lucille
The followers of the series met Lucille a couple of weeks ago, the bat of the fearsome Negan who has already wreaked havoc on our main group. Something tells us that it will not be the last time we see him in action …
2. Shiva
And it’s been even less since we met the flamboyant King Ezekiel, whose “pet” is neither more nor less than a tiger named Shiva. We haven’t seen what it’s capable of yet, but it’s scary just looking at it.
1. The Governor’s Tank
The Governor has been the other great villain of The Walking Dead and starred in its last chapter accompanied by a fearsome tank that caused havoc in the prison where Rick’s group was sheltering. Unforgettable.
