The successor to the Shovel Knight will be introduced soon

Yacht Club Games, behind Shovel Knight, has announced they are preparing to announce a new game for the PAX East event due later this month.

The PAX East event is also receiving more and more attention year after year in the gaming industry, and it won’t be any different this year – Gearbox Software, for example, is making not one, not two, but at least four new announcements, including the unveiling of Borderlands 3. And recently, the Yacht Club Games have indicated that they will be worth paying attention to at the Boston Bundle.

For those who might not jump in by name: it’s the company behind the Shovel Knight who, with the release of the King of Cards and Showdown add-ons, has completed all the promised projects for the retro-platformer from Kickstarter. After that, it’s no wonder they’re making something “brand new,” but nothing has been revealed yet beyond the teaser image above (here’s a gif). We look forward to what the mysterious game will be like!
