Android

In the case of Android, you only have to open the application and click on the three vertical points which you will see in the upper right corner of your screen. Once you have done this, go to «Settings». There you will find several options available in which you can configure your privacy, make backup copies of your chats or modify the tones of the messages. However, in this case you will have to select «Data and storage».

After this, go to the first option, where you can read «Download with mobile data». There you can configure that photos, videos, audios and documents are not downloaded when not connected to Wi-Fi. To prevent downloads from taking place when you do have this type of connection, you will have to go back and click on «Download with Wi-Fi». The procedure will be similar to that described in the previous case.

We will have to do the same with «In data roaming», Although the most normal thing is that in this option no documents are downloaded by default. Once we have followed all these steps, “No file” should appear below each download option.
