Two new Nintendo Switch models may come this summer
The Wall Street Journal has learned that two new versions of the Nintendo Switch are coming soon: one for hardcore gamers and one for casual gamers.
- Two new Switch models are also available
- One would be stronger than the current one, the other would be a cheaper edition
- Already in the summer, Nintendo would launch them
It has long been rumored that Nintendo will come up with a new Switch model this year, as despite the console running well, it has now entered its third critical year, where blood refreshment is always good. Well, according to recent reports in the Wall Street Journal, the Kyoto manufacturer takes this so seriously that it is not one, but immediately two new releases are also expected.
One machine would target hardcore gamers in a similar way to the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, meaning it would be a hardware-turbocharged version – even if not as powerful as the other two “rivals” of course.
The other version, on the contrary, would be for the casual layer – especially for those who would already like to replace their aging 3DS. Here, the lower price tag would be the goal, and some features such as vibration would be removed.
The projected prices are unknown, but if we can believe the rumor, the announcement will be made at E3 in June at the latest – if only because WSJ reports that Nintendo would launch the two new consoles later this summer.
