This week, the remastered version of “Warcraft III: Reforged” had its premiere, which collects hits from players and critics.
Warcraft III: Reforged is a collective edition of refreshed games Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. The improved version of Spoils of War Edition is enriched with a lot of additional content and digital elements for other Blizzard games and costs 39.99 euros (about 172 zlotys), for the basic version of the Standard Edition you have to spend 29.99 euros (about 130 zlotys).
The loudly announced by Blizzard remastered classic title of Warcraft III: Reforged, in a very simplified way, turned out to be a trimmed old version with improved graphics in better quality.
People who had the classic version, after purchasing Warcraft III: Reforged (weighing almost 30 GB), without any query, must also update the original Warcarft III, from which the elements that are not remartered (WTF!) Are disappearing. By installing the update, you can say goodbye to clans, ranking lists, regions and other network elements that you used in the classic version – sorry!
In Warcraft III Reforged, you will not find new videos between campaigns (even fragments of the game’s first promotional movie) and story corrections in the script that were supposed to refer to World of Warcraft. Unfortunately – it’s hard to find changes in the plot comparing the new version to the original!
Another slip-up is the lack of games in 60 frames per second or 4K and 60 fps, so the characters’ animations were realized in 30 frames – just like in the original version!
The greatest sins of the creators that appear most often are:
- no promised feature videos between missions,
- no support for widescreen monitors with high resolution and scalability, removal of clans,
- no Custom Campaigns,
- no ranking lists (solo, random teams, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, FFA),
- no offline games (LAN),
- no possibility to customize keyboard shortcuts,
- no filtering in the online games search engine
- no regions to create tournaments.
Blizzard also made important changes to the license agreement that we agree to after purchasing the new version. The most important new feature is that any user-created maps, heroes, or campaigns belong only to Blizzard! This is to protect the company’s rights that were not adequately protected in the old version of the editor, so Valve completely legally used Blizzard’s tools to create Dota and profit from it.
Fans and critics are boiling with anger and are disappointed with what Blizzard has served them, as evidenced by poor reviews and ratings on Metacritic – over 13.5 thousand. users rated the game only 0.5 / 10. This is a serious blow that must have belonged, because Blizzard did not give everything he promised … Even if he adds what is not there in later updates, the disgust will remain. In addition, the company banishes users who urge others to refund their purchase.
The wind carries the echoes of the war cries …
The game features over 60 single-player missions across Azeroth and beyond, taking command of the four powerful races in the Warcraft universe. Refreshed visuals and re-balanced strategic gameplay… online battles on Battle.net – it all looks nice, that’s it!
If you haven’t purchased the digital standard edition of Warcraft III: Reforged yet, it’s worth watching a few excerpts and reviews on YouTube from those who have already had this (un) enjoyment. According to many reviewers, the refreshed version is heavily underdeveloped, contains a lot of bugs and castrates the classic version – if you have it.
New Changed Game Trailer (for Release):
The world is on the brink of extinction – it is again threatened with the hegemony of chaos. Heroes, come on! Experience monumental events in Azeroth’s history like never before. See you on the battlefield!
Is Blizzard going to fix bugs and deficiencies? It’s hard to say, it won’t happen soon, if ever.
