On the International Podcasting Day, Spotify introduces new tools for creators and shows which Polish programs are most listened to.
Podcasts are becoming more and more popular – listeners from all over the world can choose from over 2.9 million titles. Spotify connects creators with their fans and provides its users with ever newer and more surprising content. The number of podcasts on the platform increased by nearly 1.5 million over the past year. Today, on the occasion of International Podcast Day, Spotify launches a new feature polls and Q&A for creators and shows which shows are listened to the most in the country on the Vistula River, where the popularity of podcasts has increased by 94% over the last year.
What are surveys and Q&A?
Q&A and Spotify polls are new interactive features that will make it easier for recipients to connect with people whose voice they hear on a daily basis in their favorite podcasts, and for creators – to reach their fans through Spotify. Listeners will be able to interact with their favorite podcasters by answering short questions about the broadcasts they are listening to.
As of today, creators in 160 markets around the world, including Poland, have the option of placing open-ended questions or surveys in episodes of their podcasts (using the tools in Anchor, Spotify’s podcast creation platform), to which listeners can respond directly to Spotify.
How it works: information for the audience
If the creator adds questions or polls to one of the episodes, they will appear at the bottom of the page on Spotify mobile (iOS and Android). Listeners should follow the prompts to respond in the app.
How it works: information for creators
- When creating or uploading an episode to Anchor, creators can find Q&A and Poll features before clicking the Publish button. They will be asked to enter a question and choose whether it is a survey or an open-ended question.
- Creators will receive notifications after listeners have answered their questions. They will be able to see the answers on their episode page on Anchor. For questions and answers, they can also select answers to mark directly on the episode page.
