Xiaomi is releasing smart shoes in collaboration with Intel

The Xiaomi company has already entered the market of wearables and fitness devices some time ago, and is now expanding its products with smart shoes.

Xiaomi smart shoes with the official name “90 Minutes Ultra Smart Sportswear” were created in cooperation with Intel, which was responsible for technical and hardware issues of the footwear. It’s about the Curie module, which is the size of a small button.

A pair of shoes will cost around $ 44 and have a battery that should last 60 days on a single charge. The shoes can follow your every move, from walking, running to mountain climbing. Every day, the shoes send a report of distance traveled, average speed and calories burned.

As for the shoes themselves, they have airbags, non-slip soles and antibacterial insoles. 90 Minutes Ultra Smart Sportswear shoes are available in four color versions: black and blue for men and black and pink for women. The special edition of the blue shoes has a glow in the dark function – a special convenience for night runners.

The shoes will go on sale in mid-April (04/15/2017) this year and will be available for purchase only in China for now.
