Polish studio CD Projekt RED has released a free toolkit called REDmod that allows you to create modifications for the game Cyberpunk 2077. The kit supports installing and loading mods, allows adding new sounds, animations, scripts and more.

The developers have stated that the toolkit will be updated along with the game to maintain compatibility with it. REDmod can be used within the WolvenKit editor or run from the command line.

To install it, you need to copy the file to the game folder specified in the mod installation instructions. After that, a new button for activating or deactivating the compatible mod will appear in REDlauncher next to the “Play” button. On GOG Galaxy, this can be done in Settings.

The company said that they would not support the mods themselves, for that they would have to contact their authors. You can download REDmod here. If you can’t download directly, use a VPN
