World of Warcraft is exactly the game that is known not only for its huge world, but also for its good, albeit specific, humor. From fun quests to NPC names, you’ll find clues to your favorite TV shows, games and books. But if you are too lazy to look, then we have already done everything for you: this is a selection of the most interesting and daring Easter eggs that can be found in the vastness of Azeroth. By the way, some of them are understood only by the Russian-speaking community – they are so local.

Play World of Warcraft?

Yes, I used to play, but I stopped. I haven’t played but I really want to. I haven’t played and I won’t

plants against zombies

  • Location: Eastern Kingdoms, Hillsbrad Foothills
  • Coordinates: 33.6, 49.2

There’s a cool quest in Hillsbrad Foothills called “Fundamentals of Botany” that you can pick up from Brazy the Botanist. The quest itself is not some kind of grind or “go fetch”, but simply the well-known Plants vs. Zombies game in World of Warcraft. However, the musical theme doesn’t change and the title of the place itself still sounds but is still cool. To complete this chain there is also a pet – Singing Sunflower

Splinter and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

  • Location: Cloaca Dallarana, Walley Circle
  • Coordinates: 58.8, 58.6 (Laura Malley, Dalaran in the Broken Isles); 48.18, 51.36 (Splinter and the Turtles, Dalaran in Northrend)

All that’s missing is pizza

The sewers of Dalaran, the floating magical city, are full of surprises and surprises, but you hardly expect to meet Splinter and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles there. In addition, this Easter egg was obtained in both versions of the city: both Northrend and the Broken Isles. Is it true that if in the first case you can see them all with your own eyes, then in the second case you can also buy young mutated fighting turtles from the dealer Laura Malley in order to then fight with them.

“Master, I brought you some food!”

  • Location: Broken Isles, Nighthold Raid
  • Coordinates: Third boss

Here the Russian localizers did their best, because in the original the sentence of the boss named Trilliax sounds completely different. He takes part in the Legion raid called “The Nighthold” and regularly shouts “Master, I brought you some food” during the fight, often causing the players to laugh. One thing is clear: establishing a connection to the “Green Elephant” in Azeroth – this still needs to be thought about.

Geralt and Dandelion

  • Location: Darklands, Ardenweald
  • Coordinates: 65.6, 24.6

In the Dark Lands, and more specifically in the Ardenweald, one finds the meditating Gwincairv, the Wolf of Winter, accompanied by the restless companion Narcissus. This, of course, is a reference to the main characters of the game and book series “The Witcher” (The Witcher) – Geralt of Rivia (he is also called the “White Wolf”) and Buttercup. Additionally, if you try to talk to them, Narcissus will begin singing a song that attracts a rare crowd. It won’t be difficult to kill him, and at the end of the battle you will see the painfully familiar “Pay the hunter with a green seed…”.

Severus outcast

  • Location: Kul Tiras, Stormsong Valley
  • Coordinates: 22.6, 73.2

It appears to be one of the alternate endings.

One of the world quests in Stormsong Valley in Kul Tiras is to kill Severus the Outcast – a guy who is clearly not a pleasant person. Not only does he look mediocre, but you can also find corpses around him… Harald Scar, Ranald the Red and Hermi the Wise. Well, it seems that one of the developers really doesn’t like the Harry Potter book series.

“Get up, children, stand in a circle…”

  • Location: Broken Isles, Suramar
  • Coordinates: 51.2, 76.0

The entire Russian-speaking community probably knows the children’s song “Get up, children, stand in a circle, stand in a circle, stand in a circle!”, But did you know that you can hear it in World of Warcraft? In the marketplace of Suramar you will find a group of nightborn children who will sing you an Azerothian and much darker version of this song, and it goes like this:

“Come on, children, stand in a circle,

Emptiness and pain everywhere.

Wait a little longer, that’s it

Death will bring us together!

Of course, this is an adaptation for Russian-speaking players, and a completely different motif sounds in the original. But how great it turned out!

Winnie the Pooh and stuff

  • Location: Kul Tiras, Stormsong Valley
  • Coordinates: 66.6, 71.0

This company is friendly to both factions.

Also in the Valley of the Storm you can meet a remarkable company: Hunter Robin and his friends – Honey Bear, Sad Mule, Pig and Tiger. Everyone sits next to a barrel of honey. Although they do not react to the players in any way, that does not stop them from enjoying such a funny and cute Easter egg based on the well-known fairy tale “Winnie-the-Pooh” by Alan Milne.

Kratos and Atreus

  • Location: Kalimdor, Orgrimmar
  • Coordinates: 46.2, 50.2

Well, aren’t they similar?

Horde players can easily find this Easter egg, but it is not safe for the Alliance. The fact is that it is located right in the center of Orgrimmar, the capital of the Horde. On the Avenue of Wisdom are an orc and his son, both of whom are very similar to Kratos and Atreus, the main characters from God of War and God of War: Ragnarok. Although you can’t interact with them in any way, Horde players are still happy that such legends have been added to them.

Steamy Love Affair: Lustful dragon sorceress

  • Location: Dragon Islands, Forest Rakken
  • Coordinates: 48.5, 17.5

Remember the lustful Argonian maiden in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim? If she was a lover of spears in Tamriel, then in A Steamy Romance: Lustful Dragon Sorceress she is a fan of swords. You can find it in Waldrakken, the capital of the Dragon Islands, and there are also a large number of admirers. However, considering how similar Draktyr is to the Argonians, it’s not surprising that the developers decided to add such… spicy… flavors.
