P.Apparently, all this year’s iPhones will be deprived of a feature called 3D Touch, which was presented with the iPhone 6S a few years ago. Was this technology really so unprofitable that Apple decided to give it up?
A few months ago, the internet was buzzing with rumors about the alleged removal of 3D Touch technology in the latest iPhones. Month by month, these rumors seem to make more sense, if only considering the replacement of 3D Touch in iOS 13 with the new HapticTouch. Why did Apple decide to take such a step? 3D Touch required an additional coating under the screen that could sense the pressure applied to the screen. HapticTouch is a purely system solution that was first introduced with the iPhone XR. IPhone parts suppliers reportedly received an order from Apple to reduce the production of panels equipped with 3D Touch technology. Does this mean the end of this technology in Apple phones? Probably yes.
